Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Planning Commission for the City of St. Joseph met on
Monday, January 13th, 2025, at 6:00 PM in the St. Joseph City Hall opening with the Pledge of
Allegiance.
Planning Commission Members Present: Commissioners Keith Louwagie, Mark Thompson (via Zoom
non voting), Adam Scepaniak, Isabella Margl, Jon Hazen
Staff Present: Nate Keller
Public Comments: None.
Agenda Review & Adoption: Hazen made a motion to approve Agenda Review & Adoption. The
motion was seconded by Margl and passed unanimously.
Approval of November 12'h, 2024, minutes: Thompson made a motion to approve the November 13th
minutes. The motion was seconded by Louwagie and passed unanimously by those present.
Election of Chair and Vice Chair for 2025: Scepaniak made a motion to appoint Hazen for Chair in
2025.The motion was seconded by Louwagie and passed unanimously.
Scepaniak made a motion to appoint Margl as Vice Chair for 2025. The motion was seconded by
Hazen and passed unanimously.
Hazen and Thompson volunteered to serve on the Joint Planning Board. The motion was made by
Hazen and seconded by Louwagie and passed unanimously.
Old Business:
Keller updated the Commission on the status of the Short-term Rental Ordinance and John Scepaniak's
P.U.D. concept.
Other Business:
Keller updated the Commission on the status of various construction projects. Hazen asked about
Casey's Gas station and the Feedmill.
Adfourn: Louwagie moved to adjourn the meeting at 6:19PM. The motion was seconded by Hazen
and the motion carried.
