SUBMITTED BY: PW's Director BOARD/COMMISSION/COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: The council requested information on energy analysis BACKGROUND INFORMATION: After researching the information on an energy audit for the City of St. Joseph i have found. there are two types of energy audits. The first is an in-house audit to be completed by staff at no cost. The second is two have an engineer perform the audit at a price of $200.00 for buildings less than 25,000 sq ft and $300.00 for more than 25,000sq ft. The engineer audit is the most effective audit and would give the City of St. Joseph a good plan to follow in the future. 1 would recommend an engineering energy audit on City Hall, PW's, Fire Hall, Water Plant 1 & 2, and the main lift station. BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT: This audit for the buildings listed should be approximately $],600.00 for the engineering audit and would come from the various departments/funds affected.
