BACKGROUND INFORMATION: To follow is the section of the roof management report that relates to well house 4/5. As can be seen from the attached the roof is in need of replacement. If the City outsources this repair the estimated cost is $ 6,475.00. If the City replaces the roof with a metal seam roof using City staff, the estimated cost of replacement is $ 3,583. This cost includes burying the electric service from the pole to the building. The cost estimate for Cold Spring Electric is attached. While the replacement has not been budgeted, in reviewing the current year to date expense report for public works, the repairs could be completed with the remaining budget both in the street and water portion of the budget. Both departments have sufficient funds to cover the needed repair. BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT: $ 3,583.00 ATTACHMENTS: McDowall Facility Report, Cold Spring Electric Estimate REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION: Authorize the replace of the roof for well house 4/5 at an estimated cost of $ 3,483.00.
