SUBMITTED BY: Administration BOARD/COMMISSION/COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: The Police Chief, Police Sergeant and Administrator are recommending the Council fill the position of Records Specialist with Margaret (Marni) Evenson. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Marni has been working part-time (10 hours per month) in the police department assisting with the data entry. Marni will be working Monday through Friday, 4 PM to 8PM. The Council has authorized the Department Head along with the Administrator to hire part-time employees. Non exempt Full time employees are hired with one or two members of the Council and exempt employees (department heads) are hired by the entire Council. We received approximately 20 applicants for the position and tested seven. The test was a typing test administered by Office Team (they did not charge for this service). The top four candidates were interviewed.
