PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: The Council has been discussing the need for additional sidewalk or
pedestrian safety along 2nd Avenue NW. Due to the cost of the sidewalk, it was determined that the
best first step would be to add two additional street lamps, one at MN Street and 2nd and one at the
alley intersection.
The City Engineer has contacted the utility company and the additional lighting can be accomplished
without adding poles. Therefore, the cost to the City would be the monthly lamp charges.

Approx. $ 10 per month per lamp
