Attached you will find the activity report for the month of April. There were 249 reported incidents during the
month of Aprii. This compares with 249 reported incidents in 2007 and 269 reported incidents in 2006.
Durin~the month of April we handled investigations dealing with a 5'" degree assault and a sexual assault.
The 5 degree assault was charged and the sexual assault was cleared.
During the past month we have our party house patrol out on Saturcay nights. This overtime sh'rft was
covered by a grant that we obtained from the Department of Public Safety. This allowed us to have four
and at times five officers out on a Saturday night. Overall approx 50 citations and or arrests were made
during this time. We will be applying for another grant for the upcoming year.
We are in the process of training our new reserve officers so as to have them ready for the 3rd and 4d' of
July. They along with the officers will be training in the use of batons, handcuffing, lasers and mace. The
officers are also doing their annual update on use of force. This is done on line and is done during their
duty time as to save the city on overtime.
