PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: Discussed this change order at 07/17/08 council meeting.
BACKGROUND INIa~ORMATION:
Staff previously discussed with the council delaying construction of the final lift of bituminous
wear course pavement and final striping on Jade Road until completion of the bituminous wear
course on the adjacent school site is constructed. The delay would help protect the new pavement
from potential damage caused by heavy truck traffic enroute to the school site due to parking lot
paving. The delayed Work would be complete on or before August 22, 2008. The Final
Completion date would be extended to accommodate the specified maintenance period and
season of planting schedule for final turf establishment operations due to the CR 121 trail
construction time frame.

You are directed to make the following changes in the Contract Documents:
Description: Delay construction of the final lift of bituminous wear course pavement and final
striping on Jade toad until completion of the bituminous wear course on the
adjacent school site is constructed. The delayed `JVork shall be complete on or
before August 22, 2048. The Final Completion date shall be extended to only
accommodate the specified maintenance period and season of planting schedule for
final turf establishment operations due to the CR 121 trail construction time frame.
Reason for Change Order: Protect the proposed Work from potential damage due to construction on adjacent
site.
