Minutes of meeting held January 26, 1998
Meeting called to order by Joe Braun at 6:30 p.m. in the City Hall.
Members present: Joe Braun, Marge Lesnick, Lonnie Abbott, Chuck Muske,
Liaison: Cory Ehlert.
Members Absent; John Bonacci, John VValz.
Approval of Agenda: Motion made by Joe Braun to approve agenda. Second by
Lonnie Abbott, motion passed.
Approval of Minutes: Motion by Marge Lesnick to approve the minutes. Second by
Lonnie Abbott, motion passed.
Welcome new members: Chuck Muske.
Welcome new Council Liaison. Cory Ehlert.
Old Business:
Warming HQUSe Update: Reported by Joe and Marge.
Now open -has 4 rink attendants.
Hot chocolate and apple cider on weekends ($70.00 worth).
New hot water pot was purchased.
Sealing of warming house painted by Ray Vogel, rink attendant.
Open till end of February (weather allowing).
Comment book for attendants.
Locks on warming house changed.
Signs on hockey rink plow entrance and skater entrance.
Stereo for ice rink {speakers and amplifier).
Light for sledders. Street light for parking lot. Lonnie, Joe and Marge will look
into placement.
Snow shovels, e~-tra needed.

Northland signs for "No Motorized Vehicles Allowed" are up -Joe questioned the
ordiance number 35.13.
He didn't like how it was worded, he thought it was to vague. Motion
made by Marge Lesnick to have ordiance on motorized vehicle use
reviewed. Second by Lonnie Abbott, motion passed. Cory Ehlert will
bring to City Council.

Entrance for skaters and plow at ice rink -need to be purchased by Joe Braun.
Signs for distance markers at Klinefelter Park.
LLew Business:
Brat sales at S A and A_moco• This would be a good fundraiser for rec league shirts.
Lonnie will check with S.A., Marge will check with Amoco.
Re-face Bulletin Boards: Look into usage feasibility. Relocate both signs?
1998 Projects: Park Assignments: Marge -Monument Park. Lonnie -Northland Park.
Joe -Cloverdale Park.
Klinefelter Park: Next development Phase 3 (additional playground equipment).
Marge motion to purchase playground equipment at $5,111..00 for Klinefelter
Park. Second by Chuck, motion passed. Equipment from gametime.
Northland Park: Need a 5 year plan. Lonnie is checking into getting input from the
people who live in Northland Addition.
Toilet facilities at the Parks: Chuck will check into the need to have bathrooms available
at all parks. Camping fee was discussed for overnight camping at Millstream.
Election of Officers: All nominated and elected into the following positions:
Chairperson: Joe Braun
Vice-Chairperson- Marge Lesnick
Secretary: Chuck Muske
Next Meeting: Feb. 23, 1998 at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall.
Motion to adjourn at 8:10 p.m. by Marge, second by Joe, motion passed.
