Meeting called to order by Joe Braun at 7.04 p.m. in the City Hall.
Members present: Chuck Muske, John Walz, Joe Braun, Cory Ehlertand Marge Lesnick
Members Absent: John Bonacci ,and Lonnie Abbot.
Approval of Agenda: Motion to approve Agenda by Johnn W, seconded by Marge.
Motion passed.
Approval of Minutes: Minutes need to be changed,Fundraiser delete May 16th ,May 17th,
and May 23rd. Motion made by marge to accept the minutes as ammended.
Seconded by John W. Motion Passed.
Liason Report : Cory Had everyone read a report from The Memorial Park Improvment
Task Force. The letter stated that the St. Joe Lions are willing to pay up to 70% of
the total cost of the improvments and the Park Board should pick up the final
30%.After a lenghthy discussion it was motioned by Marge and seconded by
John W. that the Park Board will pay up to 18% of the total cost. Not to exceed
$6,000.00. Not to exceed $2,000.00 a year for the next three years. Motion
Passed.
Chairman Comments: Joe passed out a notice of the rules and regulations of the Lake
Wobegon Trail. He said that it was a possibility that it might come to St. Joe
somtime in the future and that we should read the letter and put in any changes
that we would like to see. We report get back to him next meeting.
Old Business:
Fundraiser: Marge reported that it took in $252.00. $128 to Meat Market.
$10 to Cory. Should have about $40 to $50 worth of meat left for the next
brat sale. That left $ 114 profit. Good Job! ! ! ! We need to send Thank You's
to Pam Laudenbach, Deb Hurtgam, Mike the Manager, Dick Loso - Loso
Store, Mary Henrichs - Bernicks Pepsi, Greg Reinhart -First State Bank,
and the Park Boards pair of John's for donating the grills.
Bulletin Boards: Need to get City maps from City Office.
Millstream Camping: We will have a sign made up, the sign will read:

Welcome to Millstream's Campground
Recommended Donation of $5 per night is greatly appreciated.
All Donations go directly to the improvement and upkeep. of this Park.
Box is emptied Daily
Motion was made by Marge to have money box and sign made for Millstream
Park, pending approval of warding of the sign by the City attorney. Seconded
by John W., motion passed Cory will take care of this.
Summer Rec Program
Joe will ask that Dave come to the next meeting to give a report.
Soccer Field:
Bob Loso ordered the nets. Bob reseeded the fields by himself.
Basketball Hoop~~
City Maintenance will take care of replacing broken hoops and nets.
New Business:
Dredge of the Millstream Pond:
Joe checked into it, he said we need a permit from the DNR. Joe will check
with the Army Core of Engineers to see if they will do it, and the cost.
Cloverdale Park:
Joe and the 4-H Club planted 10 trees. He suggested that we plant 20 more
trees. Motion by Chuck and seconded by Marge that Joe will buy 20 more
trees for this park and not to exceed $100. Motion passed.
1999 Budget:
Next meeting Joe will bring in blank sheets for everyone to fill out on how they
want the money budgeted for next year.
Northland Park:
We will have a meeting June 9 at City Hall at 6:30. Marge will invite Mike
Sworsky and Bob Loso, to get their ideas on this park.
Next Meetingi Will be TUESDAY JUNE 23 AT 7:00. (please note new time.)
