Minutes of meeting held September 28, 1999
Meeting called to order by Lonnie Abbott at 7:10 p.m.
Members present: John Walz, Marge Lesnick, Lonnie Abbott, Chuck Muske,
Bruce Berghorst and Cory Ehlert.
Members Absent: Mike Mcdonald.
Approval of Minutes: Motion to approve the Minutes was passed.
Liaison Report: Jacob Wetterling Foundation will be planting some trees in Klinefelter
Park. Skate boarders, kids met with Cory. Kids will submit a design. The cost
will be about $1,800 for 75' x 75' area. Possible funded by Council. Businesses
have approached Cory about safety and liability concerns. Pat Schneider got a
flood light put up by NSP. We can use it for a flood light for the sliding hill. It is
ok to concrete the hockey rink next year. Touch football league is going well.
St. Cloud Rec. would like to turn it over to St. Joseph next year.
Chairman Report: No report
Old Business:
Northland Park: John said we can order the trees. Tentative planting date is
October 23. Playground equipment is here, scheduled to be put up October 2
at 9:00 a.m. Class 2 rock was added to the parking lot. Chuck to send thank
you to Kevin Mohs for donating the Class 2 rock. Chuck also to pick up a
brunch for 2 at the La for John's Dad for donating the equipment for hauling and
planting the trees.
Other: Need to get a brunch for 2 at the La for Dave Heideman for all his years
of service in St. Joe Summer Rec.
Ice ; k• Marge stated she would not be able to take care of the workers at
the rink this year. We need to find a replacement at the next meeting.
Tree Fund` Motion by Marge to pay for the tree's at Northland Park out of the
tree fund. Seconded by Bruce, motion passed.
