JOSEPH PARES COMMISSION MEETING May 28, 1979 The St. Joseph Park Commission meeting of May 28 was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by President Ray Brandenburger, with the following members in attendance. Jerry Rennie, William Lorentz, Bob Lyons, Dave Keller, Dick Taufen and Harvey Notch. Motion by Dave Keller, seconded by Bob Lyons,. to recommend to the Council to let Gene Scherer run cattle on no-name park in 1979. Scherer to put up the fence. Motion carried. President Wieber of the Sno-Does proposed building a 28' x 28' club house and storage section for park equipment, to be built in or near the gravel pit at Millstream Park. Details on this proposal are included in the letter of May 22, 1979, on the preceding page. Motion by Dick Taufen, seconded by Jerry Rennie to approve the above. Motion carried. Mark Plantenburg, Bob Lyons, William Lorentz are to draw up a five year plan for the parks. Ray Brandenburger purchased a C Allis Chalmers tractor with a sickle mower and one bottom plow for $1050.00, also purchased are rotary mower for $600.00 plus freight, for park and city use. Ray Brandenburger, Dick Taufen, Dave Keller, Harvey Notch to set up park use rules for all parks. Motion by William Lorentz, seconded by Dick Taufen, to adjourn. Motion carried. Harvey Notch Secretary
