December 17, 1980
The regular meeting of the St. Joseph Parks Commission was held Decemberl7,
at 8:0.5 p.m. with the following members in attendance; Lori Terwey, Donna .' ':~
Blanchette, Dick Taufen, Wm Lorentz, Jerry Rennie and Dave Keller. Also,
Hugo Weyrens and Bud Reber.
Election of officers to be held at the January meeting. The Council will act
on the park ordinances at the December 18 meeting.
Compensation for Park Commission meetings will be X5.00 per meeting, and
$10.00 for the chairman.
It was discussed to get all organizations in the community involved in the
Millstream Park dedication, in July. Possibly have softball, archery, ;,
horseshoe and shooting tournaments, use recreation association beer license.
Check on insurance.
Two truck frames were purchased for $75.00 for bridges, also all the planking
was received from Burlington~Northern at a cost of $1.00.
Motion by Dick Tauten, seconded by Jerry Rennie to put up barricade in
Millstream park by the ditch where the foot bridges are to go. Wm Lorentz
to contact the Sno-Joes on this. Motion carried.
Secretary to keep record on all money received and spent. Last balance, $2267.55.
Motion by Dick Taufen, seconded by Jerry Rennie to adjourn. Motion carried.
