January 25, 1982
The St. Joseph Parks Commission met in the City Hall at-7:05 p.m. January 25.
Members present were: Donna Blanchette, Claudette Klein, and liaison, Bud Reber.
Others present were: Ray Brandenburger and Dick Battig.
Minutes of the previous meeting were not available for approval.
Reber informed us that the city budget for this year has not yet been finalized,
therefore the Board could not discuss their own budget.
The Board approved the following names as new members. Fay Gretsch, Duke Hewitt,
and Herb Bechtold. Two more new members are needed.
Dick Battig, Recreation Association president, spoke to us about the future plans
and finances of the Recreation Association. The sewer at the ballpark may need to
be redone soon and the Recreation Association plans to repay the city for funds that
were used to start the ballpark. Dick explained to show to apply for a student
worker at St. Ben`s or St. John`s. Reber felt the city would feel this a good
idea and told us to go ahead in sending a letter to the colleges.
Meeting was adjourned'at 8:10 p.m.
