Klein submitted a letter to St. Benedict's requesting a student worker. The Board recommends that provisions be made to control poison ivy. We wish to avoid the heavy outbreak of poison ivy on persons working in the park, which occurred last summer. Hewitt suggested the city be alert to government programs which might become available and to which we could apply in order to get funds and/or workers for our parks. Marty Primus and Duke Hewitt labeled the trees in Millstream Park which will not be moved. A workable landscape design for the park should be planned and followed to avoid transplanting the trees and shrubs more than once, thereby slowing their growth and development. Blanchette reported, .Vince Manderfeld might be interested in becoming a member of the Parks Commission. Meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m. Nel Pfannenstein Secretary
