March 28, 1983
The St. Joseph Parks Commission met in City Hall on March. 28 at 7:00 p.m.
Members present were: Blanchette, Gretsch, Klein, Manderfeld, Pfannenstein,
Hewitt, Primus, and liaison, Reber.
Minutes of February 28 meeting were approved.
Blanchette reported, a 4H club is interested in doing some work in the parks.
It was suggested they be asked to transplant the plum trees in Millstream park.
The Jaycees offered to donate picnic tables to Centennial Park. Prices are
being researched.
Mr. Koopmeiners, who made the tire gym for Centennial Park, would be willing to
make another one for Millstream Park, but does not have access to enough semi
truck tires.
A serf es of articles to be published in the St. Joseph Courier will include a
history of the parks; their development, and current usability. Reservation
and park rules will also be published.
Meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
