May 23, 1983
The regular meeting of the St. Joseph Parks Commission was held in City Hall
on May 23 at 7:00 p.m. Members present were: Blanchette, Gretsch and
Pfannenstein.
Blanchette reported, it has been brought to her attention some of the Lions
Club members resent being charged a fee to use a park and shelter they spent
much time. and money in building.
To develop the parks, many people put in time and effort. Therefore a method
of granting free use of the parks could be offered to those people. She
suggested a card be issued certain people to enable them to reserve the shelter
free of charge. More discussion is needed to determine who would receive
such a card and how this would be determined.
With only three members present, no decisions could be made.
Meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
