November 28, 1983
The St. Joseph Parks Commission met in City Hall at 7:00 p.m. on November 28.
Members present were: Blanchette, Gretsch, and Pfannenstein.
New members to serve on the Park Board are urgently needed, since three valuable
members of the Board resigned in the last three months. An ad will be placed
in the COURIER in hopes of interesting people to serve on the Board.
Marty Primus has moved the spruce in Millstream Park fora total of $50.00.
The bill to be submitted to City Council.
The Knights of Columbus chairman has been contacted about calling for volunteers
to transplant the cherry trees in Millstream Park next spring.
In other business, it was recommended, a basketball hoop be installed in
Hollow Park.
Gretsch reported the money to be paid the city by the West End Developers in
lieu of park land has not been determined, therefore the figures were not
available at this time.
