c.l~port on Status of Monument Site
We will ask the Center for Community Studies group to do a
study on the parking area in front of the Monument.
d. Center for Community Studies
three more students have been assigned to the Center for
Community Studies because we had money in the budget. John and
Rick will do update on equipment and the three new people will
do the landscaping.
e. Report on Wading Pool and Site.
In checking with the city of Sartell, according to the pro-
jection we would ned a poool 40x45 for 180 children. Maintenance
cost is about $4,500 per year and half that amount is salary.
Scraping and painting not included in this cost, city does that.
Joe Braun made a motion to get a bid on a 40x45 pool and it was
seconded by Fay Gretsch.
f. 8:15 Hockey Association Presentation
Several members from the Youth Hockey Assn. were present.
They presented estimates from various places: $3500 - Great Plains;
$2500 - Matthew Hall Lbr and $2000 from Menard's.
Suggestion was made to put Hockey rink and wading pool in
Eastern park area. Questions: does city have a contract with District
742, and how long is the lease? Would city help finance the hockey
rink? They will also approach the Township Board.
