Parks Commission Meeting March 1985
Minutes of March 25 meeting in City Hall.
Members present were: Donna Blanchette, Faye Gretsch,~
Nel Pfannenstein, Joe Braun, Mike Strickler, Greg Henry,
Mary Jo Loscheider and Claudette Klein.
Meeting was called to order at 7:07 by Chair Donna
Blanchette.
1. Grant 4~2 - The State Dept had not gone through the
copy as of yet.
2. East end land - It was decided that Donna contact
the Convent of St. Benedict in regard to east end
land. Other members willing to be on committee
are: Mike, Steve, Nell, Donna, Jo and Claudette.
3. Millstream dredging - asked to have a copy of other
bids and have to complete another sheet.
4. Hockey Association - Steve pesented a program as it was
presented to city council. No funds allocated and it
was suggested that they see the town board if money
is available.
5. By-laws - were given to city council for approval.
6. Motion was made to go to city council for approval of
purchasing book "Playgrounds for Free" @ $9.95.
New Business:
1. Summer Student worker - there are three applicants
so far - need at least five.
2. Summer Recreation Director - We reviewed 11 applications
and chose 4 applicants for interviews.
3. Memorial Park fence repair - the city council approved
a $1700.00 repair of outfield fence and replacement.
4. A recommendation was made to check first base line
fence for repair also. (each park person should take a
MM look at this fence.)
