Minutes of January 27, 1986 meeting
Meeting was called to order by Donna Blanchette at 7:12 pm.
Members present were: Donna Blanchette, Nel Pfannenstein, Mike
Strickler, Joe Braun, Fay Gretsch, Jo Loscheider, Claudette
Klein, Greg Henry and liaison Steve Dehler.
No prospective members came to the meeting. It was suggested
that each prospective member write a note stating why they
are interested in being on the Park Board.
Minutes were approved and seconded.
Steve Dehler was reappointed as liaison to Park Board by the
city council.
Skating & Hockey: 7 young people have been working - he has
6 boys and 1 girl between the two rinks. Also has been keeping
a log of attendance and other details, but one book has been
taken. Suggested improvements are Stove at Centennial is old
and needs replacement, windows could be put in the warming houses.
Summer Recreation Program: Julie Darg is interested in taking
the program for this coming summer again. Steve suggested that
she come to a council meeting to introduce herself a.nd presenting
a program for the summer. A motion was made to retain Julie
Darg for this summer.
Parks Improvement: Greg dial some contacting of Nurseries and
Tom Braegelman from Hilltop Nursery, Cold Spring attended the
meeting and gave us some prices on Sand Boxes and the sod .cost
for the slide hill.
Millstream dredging: We received a letter from the Army Corp of
Engineers and they stated it was not feasible for them to do
this job.
Recreation Association:
Donna and I will send a letter to them.
Joe Braun brought up a section in the Ordinance for Parks Ordinance
regarding motorized and unmotorized vehicles, but it was a unani-
mous vote to leave it as stated.
Meeting adjourned at 8:45 pm.
