Minutes
June 2, 1986
Meeting was called to order at 7:11 by Donna Blanchette, chair-
person.
Members present were: Fay Gretsch, Claudette Klein, Nell Pfannenstein,
-Joe Braun, Mike Strickler, Greg Henry and Mary Jo Loscheider.
Meeting began at 7:i1 pm. Minutes were approved as corrected.
Re: Rifle Range: the board gave a recommendation that the City
council check the it.
Hill Bid: was accepted by City Council.
Watering Hill: reimbursement will be given to Dick Manderfeld for
Hollow Park area. Cloverdale Park has a hydrant nearby. A number
of evergreen trees need to be removed before the hill can be built
in Hollow Park. Cloverdale needs about 5 trees cut down.
Legion trees: They will be water by Dick Taufen - there are about
90 evergreen trees.
Park Rules Signs: Nell made copies and delivered them to City Hall.
Damage Deposit: A recommendation was made to raise the reservation
fee from $25 to $35 dollars and a $50 refundable Damage/Clean-up
deposit fee for 1987. Motion was made and seconded and carried.
Winter Recreation Director:
report given next time.
Shooting Range: The City Council needs more information. Mike,
Jo and Claudette will meet to discuss this with Bill Lorentz regarding
how beneficial this would be to r_he city.
Sand for Volleyball Court: Recommendation was made to have more sand
hauled i.n.
Summer Worker: Nell made a motion to have the city hire a park main-
tenance person, this would replace the student summer worker we
previously had work.
Basketball Hoop: Lower hoop about 1 foot in Hollow Park. It seems
too high..
Meeting adjourned at 8:40 pm. Next meeting will be June 30th.
