Minutes of meeting July 25, 1986
Meeting was called to order by Donna Blanchette at 7:08.
Members present were: Mike Strickler, Fay Gretsch, Jo Loscheider,
Greg Henry, Joe Braun and Claudette Klein, and Steve Dehler, liaison.
Minutes of previous meeting were approved and carried as amended.
New Business:
Millstream Horseshoe pit: It was suggested to put a fence on
the north and east side of the pit because of horseshoes
possibly hitting cars and/or people. Also, remove clay and
put sand in it. Fence could be 6 feet high.
A motion was made to recommend increased use of horseshoe
pit to put up a fence to protect vehicles and spectators.
2nd Ave. NW overlay: Steve will present to Council to have a
parking lot put in front of monument.
Winter Recreation Director: Will have info at August meeting.
Rifle Range: tabled
It was suggested that we should still send a letter to County
Commissioners not to cut money from rifle range area.
Hill: Can we maintain or will we maintain a hill. Steve will
bring it up to City Council.
Dick Taufen has verball resigned from the Park Commission.
Steve will check with City Council to see if this procedure
is correct.
Hollow Park: There are a few dead and topped trees - put hill on
other side of trees if St. Ben's would develop the western area
of park.
Cloverdale Park: We will have to know where to put the hill before
we put i.n the PR 15's.
