Meeting was called to order at 7:10. It was an open air meeting outside
the City Hall.
Members present were: Donna Blanchette, Joe Braun, Greg Henry, Claudette Klein,
Fay Gretsch, Nell Pfannenstein, Jo Loscheider, Mike Strickler.
Minutes were approved from last meeting.
-2. 2nd Ave. Overlay: Joe Bettendorf, City Engineer, recommended that the
parking lot in front of the monument be re-surfaced. It may not be done
this fall anymore. He also recommended that a curb be put on the E1 Paso
side of the street.
3. Rifle Range: The Park Commission has made their recommendation to the City
Council and therefore any further information should be directed to the City Council/
Polide-Dept. We should send a letter to all County Commissioners regarding use ..
of Tri-county jail for shooting range which will be operated on a time share
basis.
4. Winter Recreation Dept.: Jo reported that she has talked with Margie Stanoff
from the Physical Education Dept. at CSB. Greg, Jo, Mary Bozzo and Claudette
will meet with Margie on September 16 at 7:00 in Mary Commons.
The meeting adjourned at 7:30 pm.
Minutes of meeting on Auqust 26 in City Hall
Meetingwas called to order by Donna Blanchette at 7:05.
Members present were: Donna Blanchette, Claudette Klein, Nell Pfannenstein, Joe
Braun, Mike Strickler, Greg Henry, Jo Loscheider, and Liaison, Steve Defiler.
1. Horse shoe fence: Steve reported that the City Council was in agreement with
a fence.
7. Dick Taufen's resignation from Park Board: Steve did not bring it up, but
will do so at the next meeting.
5. Hill: Steve reported that the City Council stated that if the hill can be
maintained it will be maintained. No hill will be put in Hollow Park because
of lack of space. It will be put in Centennial Park.
6. Slides: They will be ordered and stored in the maintenance shed. Also, hope-
fully the PR 15's will be put up this fall yet.
Meeting adjourned at 8:05.
