Minutes of meeting October 13, 1986
Meeting was called to order at 7:06 pm by Donna Blanchette. Members present were:
Joe Braun, Donna Blanchette, Fay Gretsch, Greg Henry, Mike Strickler, Jo Loscheider,
Claudette Klein and Liaison, Steve Dehler. Meeting took place at Claudette Klein's house.
Progress Park Development: Myron Felix's loader broke down, but it shouldn't take long
to complete the work. Myron has a place for less money for sod @55~ Square yard delivered.
He will call the party when he is ready for sod. He will also put the swings back in.
PR-15: Jaycees put up the PR-15 on a Saturday and had about 15 people there. They would
also be willing to put the one up in Hollow Park. They would like to put a bronze metal
plaque some place on the PR-15 for recognition of their work.
A recommendation was made for another $50 for labor to set up the PR-15 in Hollow Park.
Steve will bring recommendation to the City Council.
The slides should be here this week.
Winter Recreation Director: Money alloted from City is $2500. Terry Sheehan doesn't
know for sure if she has a student for the job. She will check and let us know. Steve
will check with Council for money.
Dick Taufen's resignation: Any one can resign Steve said. Someone will replace him in January.
Purchasing trees: The Council said "no!" Donna will contact the Lions to see if they will
donate money for 16 trees. Are w+e able to charge tree wrap? Revenue share does not have
much money available, how about money that was in Millstream fund? ask that this money be
given to Park Fund. Will city allocate money for park development i-n the budget. We should
ask for $2600 to complete Phase I.
