Minutes of meeting of October 27, 1986
Meeting was called to order by Donna Blanchette at 7:01.
Members present: Donna Blanchette, Jo Loscheider, Fay Gre,tsch,
Nel Pfannenstein, Greg Henry, Claudette Klein
and Liaison, Steve Dehler.
Progress Park Development: The hill will be lowered some to
accommodate a 4x5 flat surface. Snow fencing will be put around
to keep people off for the winter. The slide will be installed next
spring. Sand is in under the swings. Jaycees will be installing
PR 15 on November 1 weather permitting in Hollow Park.
Winter Recreation Director: Jo will contact SCSU person again. The
budget has been approved. Skating rink in Memorial park will be
open. Dick Taufen is looking for a different stove.
Purchasing Trees from Creative Landscaping: The city has given us
$100 for trees. It was presented to the Lions regarding trees, and
Curt Cotton has pine trees and he said he would donate 16 trees.
Phase II Park Development: Put new play equipment and slide up next
year. Look at old equipment and know what and where it could be put
if at all, possibly Millstream. A recommendation made to the council
that we keep the swings, tire gym and sell slide and two metal gyms
or put them into Morningside Park, if not safe, sell them. If we
sell the equipment purchasing party would need to remove them. The
city would need to price the items. Each park member is to go to
a park and see the equipment.
Snow Joes Snowmobile Trail: A letter was sent to the City Council
by the Sno Joes for a trail in Millstream. Park Board has no
objection for a trail.
Spring meeting: Meeting for public on information regardi-ng parks
will be the third Monday of March.
Meeting adjourned at 8:20.
Next meeting will be November 24.
R~enspectfully submitted,
