November 24, 1986 Meeting of November 24 was called to order at 7:12 by Donna Blanchette. Members present: Donna Blanchette, Mike Strickler, Greg Henry, Fay Gxetsch, Nel Pfannenstein, Joe~Braun'and Claudette Klein. _. Minutes were approved and seconded. Old Business: Park Development: Jaycees installed the PR 15 in Hollow Park. One beam was cracked and the company will be notified of this. There is a question of removing the fence at Cloverdale that is around the hill. It was decided not to remove the fence. Winter Recreation Director: Terry Sheehan has a student in mind but he is leaving school. It was suggested to contact Margy Stanoff to see if CSB/SJU would be interested. Steve reported through Donna that Memorial Park skating rink will be opened and that the one by Kennedy will also be open. A sign of skating hours should be posted on west side of Memorial Park warming house. Greg reported he knew of a gas stove and will check with Steve D. about it. Report on Phase II: Steve presented the three models at the council meeting. The tree project has not been completed, probably in spring. Joe Braun did not reach Ken Heimenz to see if Rod and Gun club is interested in purchasing equipment from Centennial Park. Steve D. also reported that the 4-year plan has been changed to a 5-year plan. New Business Girl Scouts: they need some projects to do, a suggestion was made to have them cut around trees, paint bathrooms. This will be done between March and June. Lions shelter: George Molus was in charge about project spending. They are interested in enlarging shelter and putting in indoor grill. Lioness have money to spend, a suggestion was made to see if they are interested in paying for the dredging of Millstream. Next meeting will be at Bo Diddley's and then eat!! on December 15.
