Members present were: Fay Gretsch, Greg Henry,~Nel Pfannenstein,
Joe Braun, Jo Loscheider, Claudette Klein.
Meeting ca]led to,order by Joe Braun at 7:05 pm..' Liaison Steve
Dehler was absent.
Joe Braun suggested any corrections from the minutes be put in
the following months minutes.
Re ort on Hi11: Cloverdale Tot Lot has had the hill removed without
t e. arc Board's knowledge or approval.
A recommendation was made to scoop out where the hill was and put
in a large sand box, same location and size of hill and in winter
it be used as a skating pond.
A recommendation was made to have the park enclosed with a fence
this summer because of neighbor's complaints:.
Membershi John Anderson, a resident of St. Joseph is willing
to loin t e park board. A suggestion was also made to have a
maintenance person come to our meetings each month, even if only
for five minutes.
Summer Recreation: We are asking the Summer Recreation Director to
come to t e ugust meeting to report on the summer recreation
program. She may have some input or recommendations to make.
Order SB9ABC: Steve has said to put this on hold because of
insurance recommendations.
New Business:
Claudette will check with Laurie to see if she would be interested
in doing the Winter Program which the City Council had approved
last fall.
Skating Ponds: A recommendation was made to have a new warming
house put in by the hockey rinks. Check warming houses for repairs.
Have music playing insade and outside as all skating rinks have
music. The Stoves should also be checked.
Send minutes out early so City council members can read them before
their meeting.
Lions shelter: The fireplace is almost completed. Field stone was ed
and height of grill can lowered or raised.
The next meeting will be at the Lions shelter at 7:00 pm on Aug. 24
Meeting adjourned at 8:07 pm.
