Members present: Net Pfannenstein, Jo Loscheider, Joe Braun, Fay Gretsch, Greg Henry and
Claudette Klein.
Absent: liaison, Steve Defiler
Minutes from December meeti*~g were accep},.ed by John Anderson and seconded by Fay Gretsch.
Winter Recreation Program: The schedule was presented to the City Council and the swimming
program was the best accepted but there is a questions about insurance, oonstitutents should
call City Hall. Some programs are going well and maybe a few others such as ice skating or
fishing tournament should be offered again. .Next year program should get underway in early
fall.
Music system: There still was no cabinet built as requested but system has been purchased.
Need new thermostat on oil burner in warming house in Memorial Park. John will check with
City Clerk and see if he can get materials .to build cabinet for music system.
Board for skating hours: a printed sign was made and posted.
Maintenance request for parks: A list will be made up by Joe Braun from the last six months
of minutes and will deliver to Steve Defiler and Rachel Stapleton, City Clerk.
Jogging Course: Becky Thomas, from Women of Today, has mentioned that they are willing
to donate money towards jogging course.
New Business:
5-year plan: Each member should lcok at it and see what we are interested in doing this •
spring and scanner and what items to purchase and present to Steve so he can check with City
Council. One item mentioned was to put spring toys in the Tot. lots near sand box especially
in Cloverdale Park.
Secretary's Stipend: Joe suggested to upgrade secretary's fees to $15.00 per month for all
the work that is done. The motion was made by John Anderson and seconded by Nel Pfannenstein.
Grooming snowmobile trail: Joe will check with Donna on this at Millstream Park.
Recommendation: Have.a fence put at the foot of the upclimb of the hill in Memorial Park
because of the wooden flower beds on that north side, kids could get injured. What happened
to recommerr3ation for .fence in the horse shoe area?
