Minutes of meeting, March 21, 1988
Meeting was called to order at 7:03.
Minutes were approved by John Anderson and seconded by Jo Loscheider with one
correction: Greg Henry was in attendance at the Feb. Meeting.
Treasurer's report: Fay brought in budgets and expenditures copies. We hope
to have $8,000 for this coming year if approved by City Council plus the
$4,610 we have left from last year.
Winter Recreation Program: Geri Ann Zubich reported on the"Winter Recreation
program. She said some programs went well, others did not go at all, but she
did suggest that the program start in October. She also thought that one
person could do the whole program.
Playground Frn,ipment: We will ask the City Secretary to check on prices for
playground equipment. We need a committee to suggest items we would like to
purchase. The Committee will be John, Jo and Greg.
Sand boxes: Joe, John and Nel will measure sand boxes and mark them off with
chalk so City Maintenance can begin building these.
Membership: Jce will check with Steve regarding township residents being on
the board.
Summer Recreation Program: A meeting was held on February 17 and Laurie
Osendorf will be the director again. She is wandering if there will be a
phone put in the Centennial Park shelter. It could have a jack and then the
phone could be taken away in the fall and also only used for local calls.
Greg will check with Lab School principle to see of the Lab School could be
used for the summer rec program because Kennedy will be remodeling.
Game Field Jogging Course: Project is underway. Claudette will check with
CSB to where the equipment is stored. Could this be brought to the City
storage area?
3rd Annual Informational Meeting: We will have this meeting on May 16 and
coincide with our meeting.
Girl Scout Day: They want to rake up Centennial Park from 9-12 noon. Any
member interested in being there at that time should attend.
Next meeting will be in the Lions Park Shelter on April 18.
Respectfully submitted:
