HomeMy WebLinkAbout1988 [04] Apr 18Minutes of April 18, 1988 meeting Meeting was called to ordEr by Joe Braun, Chairperson. Minutes were approved by John Anderson and seconded by Fay Gretsch. Sand boxes: John and Joe measured out sand boxes for the tot lots (2) at 32 square feet. Cost for landscape and treated lumber is $192 and _ $245 for 35 yds. of sand per sand box. A recommendation was made to submit to the city plans and drawings of sand boxes, depth, etc. Memorial Park: Could slides be put in existing hill or one in the area being excavated now? If not, could one be put in Millstream Park? ABC gym set: Steve was asked to check with City Council about ordering this set ~o it could be purchased and set-up by July 1st. Summer Recreation dam: Laurie Schulzetenberg needs to hire one persone Would it possible for a salary raise? Registration for students will be on June 4 or 5 with a $6.00 fee and receiving a t-shirt. J~o ~i~ Course: Lions would be interested in puttii.g course up. Maintenance department is interested in getting it done as soon as drawing is completed. Baker Street: may not be tarred as the property belongs to District 742. The streets will have to be blocked off and so we wondered if Hockey Rink near Kennedy School could be put on north end of skating rink in Memorial Park. This could be brought up at the Informational meeting on May 16. Park information meeting: will be held on May 16 at 7:30 pm in City Hall. Girl Scouts: clean up day at Centennial park. Garbage bags will be provided. Reminder: Wagon Train will be coming through St. Joseph on June 16. Several members stayed to try to see where Jogging Course should be placed.
