Minutes were approved by Jo=i~oscliei:der and seconded by John Anderson. Summer Recreation Program: Laurie Schultenberg has sent out information already. The two~aay radio system for emergency is being checked out and the question was raised if it is monitored. SB9 ABC: gym set has been ordered. It will arrive by the middle of June. The salesman will need about 10 people to help in setting up the gym set. Game Field Jogging Course: On May 22 at 11:00 am a few members will do the lay-out of the field by placing stakes for each area so the maintenance department can install the equipment. Sand Boxes: The 32'x32' sarxl boxes was defeated by the Council and we were told we could put in 24'x24' boxes and if spring toys were put in to place them on the outside in a square. +rJoe informed the maintenance department about a lot of work to be done. We have received no response to this item from the City or the maintenance department. Girl Scout Day: The girls were baffled at all the items found as garbage. They filled a good number of bags with garbage. f Claudette will talk to Pat Schneider regarding the placement of the speakers with Dick Taufen. The Jaycees paid about one-half of the speaker system. Fay Gretsch will be attending a workshop regarding insurance for City property/ parks on May 20 at the Sundwood Inn in St. Cloud. Several recommendations were made: A recommendation by Greg Henry to have the bathrooms cleaned and have a couple of satelites rented for the June 16 Wagon Train which will stop in the Millstream Park on that date. A recommendation to sand~Epaint~the:_outside of the shelter in Centennial-Park. Also to replace the dish sink or refinish it and to replace the front door=as it looks very unsightly; also put pea rock in the walk way to the building from Birch street entrance. We also recommend to have Larry Christen to be a member of our board. Meeting adjourned at 7:55 pm. Submitted by:
