Minute~~: meeting Sept. 19, 19fiS
Meeting was called to order by Chairperson Joe Braun at 7:04 pm.
Minutes were approved and seconded by John Anderson and Larry Christen.
Members present: Joe Braun, John Anderson, Greg Henry, Tarry Christen, Jo Loscheider, IVel
Pfannenstein, Fay Gretsch, Claudette Klein. Absent: Steve Defiler, Liaison..
Winter Recreation Program: John gave a proposal of $1370 for the budget for coming year
along with some suggested programs. Interviews will be October 17 beginning at 7:;30 pm.
Archer: to be continued as in the past by contacting Police Dept. for use of target. It
would be nice to t-,ave some signs with distance (50, 100, 150) put up in park.
Jogging Course: Jayceas are willing to put up course free of charge. City Council approved
cost of cement, etc.
Speakers for Music System: The Council approved the purchase of two more speakers. John
will purchase them.
Horseshoe pits: are dug out but no sand has been replaced. '
Signs for Millstream: Have they been put ug -several in the camping area? Claudette
checked with Rachel and she said they would be distributed in the spring.
Greater Minnesota Clean-up: they had very good help and all went smoothly.
Hockey Rink: Questions regarding enough space and Hockey Association must be contacted.
Warming House: anew stove has be:~n purchased that will be installed on a wall.
Girl Scout/Boy Scout Pro'ect: how would it be if they would clean up the parks in fall?
Skating Ponds: How woulcT it be if ari adult would be hired to supervise the warming house?
Also a sign with skating hours should be posted.

Bathrooms at Millstream: The smell is still there. They should be vented and cleaned
thoroughly especially when the area will be in use. Nat a good situation for outside
guests to witness.
Big Toys: new caps came in to cover bolts and they are more feasible in cold weather.
