Members present: Fay Gretsch, Joe Braun, John Andersdon, Claudette Klein, Greg Henry and Jo Loscheider. Members absent: Nel Pfannenstein and Liaison Steve Dehler. Minutes were approved by Joe Braun and Fay Gretsch. Old Business: Horseshoe Pits: Money from the old club will be used to repair the pits. Jce went to Great Plains and asked to have new pieces cut for the border and old borders will be taken out and re-done. A fence should be put on the north side of the complete pit area. Dic Taufen will bring the sand to fill the pits. This project should be completed in July. Jogging Game Course: The maps are gone and John will check with Rachel to see if they know where the 2 sets of plans are. Jaycees will install the course with a completion date in August. Centennial Improvements: Jaycees will still paint the outside of the building as soon as it is scraped or sandblasted. The bathrooms should also be painted. Completion date will be September. Tot Lots: See letter to Mayor. Basketball Court in Memorial Park: the cost for repair or renewal will be $1.50 per foot Archezy: Jce will check out the cost of bales and a cheaper fence on left side. Large Slides: Joe and John will check on haw they will look or fit in each area -Memorial and Millstream Parks. New Business: Morningside Park: It was suggested to have a meeting on August 21 at 6:30 pm in the area of Morningside Park to get feedback from residents living in that area as to what could be done in that park. The grass could be cut so ideas could be made for use of that area. Ruling on Park Use: Be aware of who is making decisions. Call City Council Members. ~A list of council members and phone numbers was given to each park board member. Draft of letter to Mayor: John will check the letter and then it will be sent to the Mayor. Meeting adjourned at 7:34 pm. Minutes submitted by: Claudette Klein P.S. There was no liaison report.
