Minutes of meeting -September 11, 1989
Meeting called to order at 6:35 pm by John Anderson, Chairperson.
Members present were: Jo Loscheider, Larry Christen, John Anderson, Joe Braun,
Greg Henry, Faye Gretsch, Claudette Klein and Liaison, Steve Oehler.
Absent: Nel Pfannenstein.
Jogging Course: Joe will check with Jaycees to see when to begin work on the
course. John will put a note in the CSB Campus News to see if any students
could help.
Arc a :Joe said bales will cost $20.00 each
Horseshoe: Rubbex mats should be brought back. Jaycees will paint the poles.
We are still waiting on word regarding a fence.
Liaison Report: Steve thought Horseshoe Pit jobs were completed.
Approval was made by Council for concept of fence but not for money, donation of
fence would be more feasible. Steve may have figures for new fencing - 9 guage.
The volleyball net was stolen from the Millstream Park and a new one was purchased
by City.
Basketball court in Memorial: Greg should get price for cement because of budget
meeting coming up soon.
Winter Recreation: Dan Stark does not know - he will know in a few weeks.
Morningside Development: Check with St. Cloud State to see if an intern would be
interested in pursuing this project and also invite committee members to a meeting.
5-year plan for Morningside Park: items should or should not be included -members
bring ideas to next meeting.
Boulevard: the questions was brought up regarding the boulevard. Steve indicated
that the water main will be put more into the street area and not so close to the
boulevard.
Meeting adjourned at 7:35 pm.

P.S. A recommendation was made to keep cutting the grass in Morningside Park next
spring.
