Meeting was called to order by John Anderson, Chair at 6:36 pm.
Members present: Joe Braun, John Anderson, Larry Christen, Fay Gretsch, Greg
Henry, Claudette Klein, Darwin Erickson, Rich Schultz.
Absent: Marge Lesnick and Liaison, Steve Defiler.
Minutes were approved by Joe Braun, seconded by Darwin Erickson.
Liaison report: Steve will hire an older person to be a supervisor for the
skating rinks. A CCD group will clean up the warming house and area at
Kennedy School. They are also thinking of putting a window in that warming
house.
Old Business:
A. Winter Recreation Update: The first interviewee has not accepted the
position.
B. Prioritization of wish list: this is on hold until slide show is completed
by John Anderson.
C. Other Old Business: Joe Braun is checking about the paint for the trim on
Centennial Park - the painting is not completed but will be done in spring.
The paint should be stored where it will not freeze.
New Business:
A. Slide resentation: John showed pictures that were taken in 1985 of all the
parks in St. Joe. He has taken recent pictures and will incorporate them
into the slide presentation. Many parks have changed considerably.
B. Review of new applicant for Winter Recreation: We interviewed the applicant
and decided to offer him the fob. He seems very competent.
C. Other New Business: We need a new woman member. Claudette suggested that
it is the gentlemen's turn to find someone.
Meeting adjourned at 7:30 pm.
