Meeting called to order by John Anderson, chair at 6:37 pm. Members present: Bob Loso, Liaison, John Anderson, Margie I,esnick, Darwin Erickson and Joe Braun. Members absent: Fay Gretsch, Rich Schultz, Greg Henry, Claudette Klein, Larry Christen. Minutes approved: Bob Loso, seconded Joe Braun. Liaison Report: Bob Loso - no new reports on parks. Informed us that any requests for the Council should have prices with them as soon as possible. Dumpsters will be behind Linneman's store and at Millstream on May 11 and 12 for public use. Old Business Park Clean-up: Joe Braun reported on Park clean-up -fliers sent out to Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, paper--encouraging adults to come out and also on WJON. Lunch for the kids - recommendation to council for funds. (Bob volunteered to approach council and get approval - between $50 and $75.) Women of Today volunteered to make lunch. John Andersor has 500 garbage bags from the State. Repair on Big Toy: City clerk is to contact Johnny Johnson for damaged piece on Big Toy in Centennial Park. Bob Loso will contact City Clerk. Water Fountains: Millstream and Centennial Park - John Anderson will write a memo concern.' stats and give to Bob Loso for approval from Council. Rest Rooms - Centennial Park - Should be open May 1, 1991 for public use. Signs: Margie will contact the county regarding signs on Hwy 75 for "Historical Sight and Restrooms" and "Business District." Trees in Historical Park: contact maintenance department regarding treatment of the fungus. Invite Police Chief to next meeting concerning 3 wheelers in parks, etc. Grass for Morningside Park: Joe checked on 20 ton grass - will not work for our purpose. New Business - Disposition on house in Millstream Park: Margie L. will check with Historial Society regarding the Historical value, log house preservation - after we get permission from Council. Recreation Center: John recommended we make a request to the City Council that we be involved in the decision of the Recreation Building if they plan on constructing it in a City Park. Community Wide, Take Pride, a St. Joseph Community Project List: project was submitted to City Clerk, Rachel Stapleton and talked to parties involved. A copy is being sent to all Park Board Members.
