Members present were: Joe Braun, John Anderson, Rich Schultz, Claudette Klein, Liaison, Bob Loso. Minutes were approved by Joe Braun and seconded by Bob Loso. Liaison report: Archery was dismanteld for safety -another one could be replaced. Joe will make up a contract for injury, etc. Park development fund -specifically for park use -amount will roll over year to year with specified amount each year to be used. Park use fees will raise to $50.00. House on Millstream property will have the water, etc. removed. Lions Club will be asked if they want to use the house. Memorial Park warming house had a window installed. Employees will need to be hired and signs for hours need to be made. Hockey rink at Kennedy will be moved to Memorial Park in the left field in the next year or so. It would be nice to have a skating pond in Morningside Park. Report from Summer Recreation Program: Laurie Schulzetenberg reported that the morning programs were-held at Kennedy School and that about 250 students participated in the program along with Kid Stop and Boys & Girls Club. Bob Loso asked if they could start a baseball program for 6, 7, 8 grades boys. Laurie will look into this program. Drinking Fountain: The drinking fountain was ordered and is here and will be installed next spring. Questioned if the signs for the Historical Site have been ordered? New Business Winter Recreation: Laurie was asked if she would be interested in doing a 4-6 week program during Christmas vacation and especially the week of Feb. 17-21. We suggested concentrating on maybe four areas: basketball, gymnastics, ice skating, bowling. New board members: tabled to next meeting. New meeting time will be 6:30 on 4th Monday of each month beginning in October. Meeting adjourned at 7:25 pm. Submitted by, Claudette Klein
