Meeting called to order by John Anderson, chairperson:at 6:32 pm.
Members present: John Anderson, Joe Braun, and Margie Lesnick.
Members absetit: Rich Schultz, Fay Gretsch, Dar°~rin Erickson, Claudette Klein,
liaison, Bob Loso.
Minutes approved by John Anderson, seconded by Joe Braun.
Old Business
Winter Recreation Pro ram: John cancelled the program two weeks ago. Laurie
wi ave to negotiate her salary with Rachel (City Clerk).
Future winter program - Events run by volunteers.
Recommendation on Indian Hill: Mayor Steve Dehler informed John the city would
sne un i ormation regar ing Incian Hill. To date John has not received the
information. A recouHnendation from the Park Board to have the city purchase land
for a part on Indian Hill will be discussed at a later meeting.
E~ar~~thd~~a coaffiittee project: John attended the ST. Cloud Chamber meeting regarding
Earth~ay. The events ates are from April 8th - May 22.
Our conarninity wide take pride projects:
- Volunteeg~- Clean up Day (April 25)
- Volunteers - Install playground equipment - Kennedy school
- Morningside projects:
a. Wood chip trail
b. Install concrete basis for picnic tables
c. Designate parking area - poles
d. Move sign
e. Make a new sign
- Ask Dick Taufen, City Maintenance Director, if he has projects for volunteers.
- Si s for Memorial Park - Margie will check with Mr. Taufen to see if the signs
wil e insta ed by Spring.
Dt~npster behind Linneman's: Would like it available a full week during city clean-up.
Hollow Park: Sandbox for Hollow Park and two backhoe diggers.
Trees: Millstream and Mont~nent Park -flowers for MontIInent Park - Volunteer up-keep
Water hook up for watering. (If possible).
New Business:
Spring I ormational meeting: Set up meeting for March 23rd. Invite our city
Service groups. Put notice in our local paper.
Ask Janelle to put our monthly meetings in the paper each month now that :they meet
every 4th Monday. If there is a change in time and location the secretary will
send Janelle a notice.
Pcndview Developer: JOhn will invite Rich Heid, Pondview developer to our next
meeting to find out where we/they stand in regard to this park.
