- Sent a letter to Mayor Dehler regarding improvements to our
parks. 30 days to respond.
- Historical Society reimbursed us half of the cost for tuck-
pointing Memorial Park $485.00.
- Introduced Pat Schneider - report on St. Joseph Ball Park
- Pat Schneider's report:
Showed us the summer master schedule for St. Joseph's
ball park. Copies sent to Dick Taufen, City Maintenance
and Rachel, City Clerk. There are 20-30 teams using the
park consisting of Waite Park and St. Joseph players (Babe
Ruth League). There are 600 boys in the Babe Ruth Leagues
and each player is charged $25 for the Summer. Due to
a computer error - St. Joseph's Babe Ruth team only has 4
home games. The rest are outside teams. Question: What
to charge outside teams for use of park! Pat would settle
on a set of bases for this summer ($150 value). Will do
more research. A utility shed located in the St. Joseph
ball park was donated by Pat Schneider's dad and is used
for ball park equipment..
