N,eeting called to order at 6;34 pm by John Anderson.
Members .present: Fay Gretsch, Joe Braun, Claudette Kleir., Marge Lesnick, Rich
Schultz, John Anderson, Liaison Bob Loso
Members absent: Darwin Erickson
Minutes were approved with following correction; should be $3500 under
Monument Park instead of $2500. Approval by Joe Braun, seconded by Fay
Gretsch.
Liaison Report:
Monument matching grant $1200 has been donated.
Approval of $3500 by City Council
Approval to have water put in this area.
We have received $5400 from Morninrside Park developer Rick Heid.
Cloverdale plan 3rd addition paid $1921.20 and 4th addition paid
$3624 - total of $10975.00 (total by Bob Loso) when I add I get
a total of $11045.20. This money can always be used by the Park
Commission at any time.
Contract have been received for tarring the parking lot in Morningside.
Water fountain is in at Centennial park. Sand is in volleyball area.
Old Business
Dennis Katzner explained his plan for Monument park and it will proceed
this fall and next spring.
Women of Today designate use of money donated for lighting.
Kennedy's playground equipment was installed on Sunday, August 23.
Swimming/wading pool: action will begin at the beginning of the year.
Spring toys for Hollow Park should be in in about a week.
Compost area will be open through fall season.
New Business
Rental for Parks - Marge Lesrick will check to see who uses Centennial/
Millstream Park the most, local or outside people.
John will write a grant for $1,000 for Earth Day.
We received a letter of interest from a CSB student re: Park Board.
Meeting adjourned at 7:30 pm.
