Meeting was called to order by Marge Lesnick (substitute) at 6:35 pm.
Members present: Marge Lesnick, Darwin Erickson, Rich Schultz, Claudette Klein and Liaison,
Bob Loso.
Members absent: John Anderson, Joe Braun
Correction from September minutes: meeting time began 6:35 -not 7:35.
Minutes were approved as read by Darwin Erickson and seconded by Marge Lesnick.
Liaison Report
Monument Park just about done. Flowers will be planted in Spring.
Parking lot in Morningside should be in in a week or two.
Old Business
no water in Monument park, trees have been planted.
donations of $1450.00, send thank you's to donaters:
Jaycees - $1000.00
Women of Today - 100.00 lighting
Lionness - 100.OfJ
Legion - 250.00
City Council advance of $3500.00
still in process of matching total $1450.00
Recommendation was made to operate the skating rink at Kennedy School only day hours
afternoon till 5:00/or dark.
New Business
Regarding Indian Hill: Hub Klein, Planning Commission Chairperson talked to Peter
Rothfork. He didn't seem to know anything about this property. Peter Rothfork came to
our meeting and then went home to get copy of area. We discussed this for sometime and
then decided to table this issue and go check out the property on Sat, Oct. 31 at 11:30.
Marge was going to call John and Joe to tell them about checking out this property.
Marge will check with Denny Katzner to look at the rest of the parks.
Meeting adjourned at 8:15 pm.
