Meeting was called to order by John Anderson, Chairperson. Meeting was held
at Mainstreet Pub.
Members present were: Darwin Erickson, Joe Braun, John Anderson, Marge Lesnick,
Fay Gretsch, Claudette Klein and Liaison Bob Loso.
Member absent: Rich Schultz
Minutes were approved by Darwin Erickson and seconded by Marge Lesnick.
Liaison report:
Bob stated that $11,927 in grant money is now in the Park Fund.
A Legion baseball team will begin this spring for 15, 16-18 year old boys/men.
Bob will also mention to the Maintenance crew to re-finish the park signs this
winter.
Parking lot in Morningside park has been completed.
Secretary will send a letter to Mike Sworski thanking for the service he has
been done to the skating rinks.
Old Business
It was brought up to have skating lessons given for a few hours maybe on Saturday
mornings for a few hours. It was suggested that maybe a CSB student would be
interested.
John Anderson wrote a letter to Peter Rothfork regarding park property in the
Northland Addition.
Hockey rink is flooded at Kennedy and only half of the warming house is going
to be used.
Ringetta and Broomball teams have asked for use of the Hockey rink this winter.
We should think about getting a cellular phone for Summer Rec program for
emergency use.
Sno Joes marked a path so Snowmobiles can pass through Memorial Park from the
south/north entrances.
Secretary will write a letter to Mr. Groshen from Newsleader to contact Jerry
and Doris Johnson on rules and regulations regarding snowmobiling in parks to
be put in the Newsleader.
Consideration of new leadership with student representation and elementary
student to be on the Park board. Secretary will also check to see how long
members have been on the Park Board.
Meeting adjourned at 7:40 pm.
