Meeting was called to order by John Anderson at 6:31 pm.
Members present: Marge Lesnick, Joe Braun, John Anderson, Irma Lanier, Claudette Klein,
Rich Schultz, Darwin Erickson, Liaison Bob Loso.
Member absent: Fay Gretsch
Park Survey: John Went over the park survey that was sent to St. Joseph households.
66 Surveys were returned and the outcome was quite interesting.
Minutes were a pproved as written with one exception, the October date was 25 not 23.
Letter from City Attorney regarding the Tot hots: Bob Loso is pursuing this letter
with City Attorney regarding this property being dedicated land for parks.
Liaison Report: Bob received a °opy of the budget and a copy will be sent. to all board
members along with the mirnzr=~s. ~ recoIIUnendation was made to have money for lights taken
out of Park budget. Marge r:.ade .otion and Joe seconded the motion.
Fall Clean-up: It was sparcely attended - 6 moms and several girls did a good job cleaning
up.
Rules Con~}~ttee group met one time.
Wetlands in Morningside Park: Bob will check with Ken Hiemenz to see if he can attend
our next, meeting to update us on this situation.
Slide replacement: Cost of a new slide averages between $1500 - 2000 for either 8 or 6
foot slides. Irma will put a proposal together of cost for slides. Rich=and Darwin
will put a proposal of equipment with prices and. pictures to give to organizations to
see if they are willing to donate monies to the parks.
Nei Business:
ADA study is being done on all facilities with an approximate cost of $45,000. Items
they are studying are door widenings, bathrooms in Centennial park and Millstream and
Memorial parks. This is a 5-year plan.
Hours are set for open skating and hockey: evenings 4-9 pm; weekends 11-9 pm. Bob
Loso is in charge of the rink.
Skating lessons will again be given in February according to Joe Braun.
At the next meeting we will revise the rest of the by-laws. In the meantime please
check any corrections or deletions you see should be made.
The next meeting will be November 22 at 6:30 in the .City Hall.
Meeting adjourned at 7:45 pm.
