Meeting was called to order by Joe Braun, Chairman, John Anderson at 6:40 pm. v~~ Vice President in the absence of Members present: Joe Braun, Fay Gretsch, Darwin Erickson, Irma Lanier, Claudette Klein and liaison, Bob Loso. Members absent were: John Anderson, Marge Lesnick, Richard Schultz. Minutes were approved by Irma Lanier and Darwin Erickson. Liaison report: A letter was received from Donahue and Rajkowski regarding the reviewal of the by-laws of the Park Commission. A copy of the letter will be given to each member to read. Also a note from the City Council minutes regarding the by-laws. Grant proposal has been applied for by Bob Loso plus $50,000 for play ground equipment and trail project. Member reports: Park Board Rules and Regulations: The draft copy is being used now, so we'll continue with that for the time being. A suggestion was made to have checks made out to the City of St. Joseph. Skating Lessons: Joe only has one person so far and plans on scheduling lessons for 3 Saturdays in February weather permitting. Slide report: Irani will do a past-up report with prices and pictures for members. Centennial bathroom: Repair work will be initiated in February. Ken Hiemanz: Claudette will contact him to come to our February meeting. Darwin will check with City Hall for a per scale map drawing of Morningside Park. Rich will check to see what we need for this summer. Earth Day Project: Joe will check. with John to see what he wants to do on Earth Day. Spring Clean-up: Clean-up will be in April. Joe Braun will check with Scout leaders for a date. Skating rink: is going well. It has been used a lot this year. Bob Loso will check with Mark Sakry from St. Cloud Rec program for ideas for summer program. Nest meeting will be February 28, 2994.
