Public ilearin~ on grant application for P4orningside Park, Bud Reber was only person
in attendance. PTO input from public.
Liaison P.,eport:
- Pay phone Twill be installed near Centennial Par!-c. Cost is approximately 53~~ f_or
<<riring and concrete base. IT. S. [lest agreed. to install the phone ano' absorb the
monthly costs since the equipment is being installed to meet a. safety need..
- CelJ_ular phone purchased. Use for emergency purposes for city and recreation
department. Locates?. in City ??all.
- Recreation Association regarding parking lot in p?illstream Parlc. Committee discussed
+lifferent options for location of parking lot and also the location of the upcoming
second. baseball and soccer fields. Bob ~•~ill report back to t'Ze pecreation Association
that no recommendation was reached. till an overall plan is made of the park.

Summer Recreation - At present there are 184 registere:?. Bob will contact the director
to ',rief us on the program at our next meeting.
P.esign Team ?Teeting: Members attending take notes and report baclc to committee members.
Rabe Ruth League: P.arwin reported. all teams are selected, coaches have contacted their
team r.:e;nbers, all equipment has been purchased and. all league fees and insurance are
paid a.nd verified. Bonatiors have been received - $1,000 from the Lions and $2~ from
a former fit. Joseph resident.
Joe reported on Park Clean-up. Posters are up around town, advertising on Channel 3,
anc' ad in J_ocal newspaper. City maintenance Twill furnish the garbage bags.
Funds for Piorningside Parlc playground equipment. $500 from Jaycees and Joe Twill chec?.c
on Legion's donation.
Fay T~Till check Taith the Lion's regarding the installation of the 2nd volleyball court
in 'rlillstrearc Park.
Stearns Electric Grant Committee recommended. to request the amount of $2.500.
~~arious signs f_or parks are finished and will be installed. by City Maintenance.
?3ob is checking on cost for lighting in Aonument Park. (r?ot decorative) .
Motion made b}' Joe Braun and seconded by r~argie to purchase flo~~ers up to $200 for
Monument Park.
I~ew P,u.siness:
Northland Park - all committee members are to visit the site before Fall meeting.
Bob is getting bids for roof over grill area in Centennial Park.
Keep checking into fund-raising ideas.
Meeting adjourned at 7:40 pm.
