Minutes of meeting May 22, 1995. Meeting was called to order by John Anderson, Chairperson at 6:39 pm. Members present: Joe Braun, Irma Lanier, Marge Lesnick, Fay Gretsch, John Anderson, Claudette Klein and Liaison, Bob Loso. Member absent: Darwin Erickson. Minutes were approved with one correction: - between Grant-Commi- tee. Summer Recreation: Chris Verlo and Dave Hiedeman gave a presentation of the Summer Recreation program. They will have a Parent meeting before the program begins in June. They dropped baseball because of the Babe Ruth League. They gave a very good synopsis of the up-coming program. If there are any problems, they should notify Bob Loso immediately. Liaison Report: Five trees were planted in Centennial on Minnesota Street. They were maples Thomsons. The telephone was installed bid was received for the roof over the Centennial Park .shelter for $5,000 and this. Park and two were replaced and aspen trees from in Centennial Park. A grill area in the the City Council approved old Business: A. The Design Team was in town and did an excellent overview of our area. City Hall has copies of all props. B. Community Park C"lean-Up: Joe Braun said he had a very good turn-out with children and adults helping. C. Sand Volleyballl: Fay talked to George Molus regarding the volleyball court. The Lions will also donate money for the playground equipment. D. Marge Lesnick received a bid from Solarz Nursery and they will help her plant the flowers in Monument Park. $200 was asked for to cover the cost. E. Signs for rules are up in Centennial and Mil~sLream Park. A motion was made by Joe Braun to build a roof over the Barbecue area in Centennial for the amount of $5,000 by Giroux Construction. Motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 8:10 pm.
