Chaix ~teport: Lonnie thanked John for ordering the trees and thanked the
maintenance department for planting them. Marge will check on the mulch and
backfill azound the new trees, but otherwise, they look great!

Family Fun Day will be January 19, 2002 from llam - ~p Y
ideas, including a snow volleyball tournament in the baseball area, snowshoes,
a horse and cart to give seniors rides, a "hockey school" with Huskies or
Blazers players, etc. We will work out more specific details next meeting.
Lonnie gave an update of the accomplishments of the Park hoard in 2001. He
highlighted upgrades in the campground, planting and beautification, skate
park development, new equipment at parks, axed volunteer efforts by board
~, members. The Park Board officially extends its thanks to the City Maintenance
~'' ~ Department, supportive city businesses, and volunteers who have offered
suggestions and helped us throughout the year.
We hope to accomplish many things in the new year, including upgrading
Centennial Park's bathrooms and replacing outdated play equipment
Liaison Report•
We should discuss the rules for the baseball park at the next meeting.
Damaged trees and grass in Northland will be replaced by the developer at
their cost.
Recreation Association is willing to share half the cost of the welcome signs
for Millstream (posting rules, etc.). Kyle will check into costs.
Next meeting we will have an update on our budget for FY02
• Initiative Foundation may fund a city-wide trail project if we are interested
We should investigate this in the spring.
THANKS to Marge for coordinating the skating rink personnel and operations.
We should order signs to Northland and~Klinefelter parks from Highway 75.
