JOSEPH PARK BOARD St. Joseph, MN Minutes of meeting held Septanber 17, 2002 Meeting Held at Millstream Park Members Present: Lonnie Abbott, John Walz, aad Bruce Berghorst. Members Abet: Marge Chuck Muske, and Kyle Schr-eider. Meeting called to order by Lonnie at 7:10. Old Business: Lonnie stated that the sign for Northland Park is not ready yet, and final landscape ign has yet to be determined. TheFrisbeegolf T-boxes have been tabled tentatively for this year due to e weather and the fact that we have not heard back from the Frisl ro1F Disc Association an the ' tiara date and the help n eeded to do the project, The concrete piaric ation is an hold due to the wea er and because maintenance is busy with other projects being dare by the City. The park diredfonal ' are up on Hwy. 75 for both Northland and Klinefelter Parks. New Business: The basketball court for Northland Park is on hold until next spring when the hoes" g development on the North side of the park is wader way, and park dedicati~ funds are finalized. Fall tree planting is scheduled for Saturday, October 19, providing that the weather is good and that e trees are ready from Huts Nursery. We are planning on planting 16 trees of various types - Millstr would get 7, Northland would get 7, and Klinefelter would get 2. Lonnie briefly discussed the optio of St. Joseph becoming a Tree City U.S.A member. inn Gra of the Healthy Community Partaer~hip P) brought this to Lonnie for discussion. There was discussicn on possibly allowing the HCP to plant along the new fence line at Northland Park However, this is tabled for Earths' discussion.
