Minutes of meeting held 8 January 2002
Meeting called to order by Lonnie Abbott at 7:07 pm.
Members present: Lonnie Abbott, Kyle Schneider, Bruce Berghorst, Chuck Muske,
Marge Lesnick, John Walt, Jennifer Wirz
Approval of Minutes from 19 November 2001: (Berghorst, Lesnick)
*Changed times for Family Fun Day fram 11-3 to 11-2.
Old Business:
Marge took responsibility for sponsoring a family on our behalf. The family
consists of a mother and 2 kids. Marge purchased all the gifts and delivered
them to Woman House before Christmas. Everyone who volunteered to
contribute can pay Marge directly.
New Business:
Family Fun Day will be January 19, 2002 from 11am - 2pm. Marge has been
busy recruiting sponsors and acquiring prizes. St. Joseph businesses have
been generous in their sponsorship, as have a few St Cloud businesses.
Lonnie will get the food, Kyle will get the soda, Bruce will take care of the sign,
John will get buns and put a notice out to the schools, and Jennifer will go with
Marge to purchase additional items needed. We will try to set up at 10:00 am.
Jennifer was working with CSB to try to set up a student event on FFD. The
~ student assigned to the project has not responded to the request to coordinate
with us. The Intramural department has given permission, however, for
students to check out equipment and bring it to the event.
Due to extreme WARM temperatures, we may have to postpone the event. The
decision will be made early in the week.
