ST JOSEPH PARK BOARD
MINUTES FROM AUGUST 21,2006
Members Present: Marge Lesnick,Deedra Deuhs, Bruce Berghorst, Lonnie Abbott, Cory Ehlert,
Liaison: Dale Wick
Call to Order: 7:06 p.m.
Approval of Minutes: Approved With changes
Motiou made by Marge and seconded by Deedra
Under Liaison Report Mark Lampert is the full name of person who donated the land for the parking lot.
Add Lonnie Abbott under members present
Under Klinefelter - Clarification on the west end of the trail
Approval of Agenda: Approved

New Business:
Dog Park - Chris Herda a resident 0[8t Joseph spoke to the Park Board and expressed interest in having a
dog park in St Joseph. She has done some research as to what the City of St Cloud has for dog parks and
related fees. St Cloud does .charge a fee to have access to the dog paiks. There are four dog paiks total
the City of St Cloud. The Park Board appreciated the input from a resident on what they felt would be a
park improvement. The PatK Board would need to discuss this further,as to which area of the city to '
consider adding a dog park.
Old Business:
Park Projects:
Northland - (Grant Application) We received a response to the grant application. St Joseph's project
would not be funded. The application had nothing wrong but there were not enough funds available. The
Park will reapply for the grant
Centennial Restroom - Although we did not get the Xcel Grant there are enough funds available to cover
the updates in the Paik Board Budget The updating is still slated to begin on September 12th.
Hollow Park -1'he swing set equipment had not yet arrived.
Klinefelter:
ResurfacU1g - when the trails need to be replaced they will be looked at by Dick to see which ones will
need to be done. This will be part of the Park Board budget ftom now on.
Eagle Scout Project; No more information at this time.
Archery at the compost east area has been taken out.
New Business:
Fall Tree Planting: trees will be ordered in October through Huls Nursery.
Y2 cents sales tax. - some funds are in.
2007 Capital Improvement Plans: Dale will bring bard copies for September's meeting.
